I miss writing.

In The Argonauts, Maggie Nelson described her experience with writing as being "more clarifying than creative". For the most part, I feel the same way. It feels both comforting and emboldening to capture what feels abstract and to distill it into words.

By writing more publicly--about the science I do, the books I read, and in general, the life I lead--I hope that I'll be braver and more diligent with my writing. And I hope that I'll learn something about myself in the process.
